Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 20, 2026
1. Local-First Architecture
Lytnt is built with a local-first philosophy. All of your project indexes, media files, tags, metadata, and history are stored locally on your macOS machine under the directory:
~/Library/Application Support/lytnt/lytnt/
We do not run proprietary cloud servers to store your assets. Your data remains entirely under your control.
2. Gemini API and External Service Connections
To power the AI image generation features, Lytnt connects directly to the Google Gemini API.
- API Key: You enter your own Gemini API key in the App Settings. This key is stored securely on your local device.
- Direct Connection: When you generate or analyze images, your device communicates directly with Google's endpoints. Your project assets (references, prompts, tags) are sent only to the Gemini API as required to execute your requests.
Please review the Google Privacy Policy to understand how Google processes API request data.
3. Data Collection and Tracking
We believe in complete transparency.
- We do not collect telemetry, analytics, or behavioral tracking data from the application.
- We do not use tracking cookies on this marketing site.
- We do not sell, trade, or share any user information, as we do not collect it in the first place.
4. Mac App Store & System Diagnostics
If you download Lytnt from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect anonymous diagnostic and usage statistics if you have opted in. Check your macOS System Settings under Privacy & Security to manage this preference.
5. Contact Us
